Help us support the first responders, workers, and families affected by the Frijoles Fire. 🧑‍🚒❤️

Early College Opportunities (ECO) is hosting a one-day water collection.

What is Needed:
Cases of water
Gallons of water
Individual water bottles(Every single donation makes a difference!)

⚠️ Please note: We cannot accept monetary donations. Physical water is what is critically needed right now.

🗓️ Drop-Off Date: Thursday, August 20th (9am - 3pm)

Due to smoke conditions and the current air quality alert for Santa Fe, Santa Fe Public Schools is calling indoor recess this morning.

We will continue to monitor air quality conditions and provide an update this afternoon.

Good morning, Salazar Families!

We are so excited to welcome our Pre-K and Kindergarten students on their first day of school! We are looking forward to a wonderful year of learning and growing together.

Families, please be aware that students will remain indoors today due to poor air quality. Our priority is always the safety and well-being of our students, and we want to make sure they stay safe and healthy.

Thank you for your understanding and support. We hope our youngest Salazar scholars have a fantastic first day!

Air Quality Update: Though smoke conditions have begun to improve on the west side of Santa Fe, air quality in most areas of the city remains in the orange, red, or purple range.
All students will remain indoors for afternoon recess today. In addition, outdoor athletic practices will not be permitted. 📱✨ The SFPS Digital Wellness Trading Cards have officially been delivered to schools!

To celebrate the launch, SFPS hosted a special “Rip Day” at Salazar Elementary, where students received and opened their card packs for the first time.

We were excited to welcome local media, including KRQE News 13, to capture the moment and hear directly from students about why digital wellness matters.
During his interview, Gio, a 5th grader, thoughtfully shared that the Digital Wellness Trading Card initiative is important because he often “doesn’t touch grass” — a funny and honest reminder of why healthy screen habits, balance, and time away from devices matter.
